Officially graduating from HS this week so thats nice.

Relishing my caffeine addiction and enjoying sleeping in cuz summer vacation is here bitchezz

oh! Also playing plagueinc as much as possible. That game is addicting. I love plagues and destroying the world is a great stress relief. Get it if you can, you won't be sorry.

Since I have time to draw what I want now I'm gonna experiment with color. Lets hope it doesn't turn out like last time I tried experimenting with color XD

Welp y'all have a good day. Don't get hit by a bus or catch yersinia pestis.

Hey folks. Loving the premium membership for a day. Hence the beautiful zombie skin

So I recently read the book Of Mice and Men. Alongside Catcher in the Rye, its one of the most challenged books in America. I think it's awful but kinda funny when people try and get books banned. It's awful for the obvious reasons: a small number of people are so outraged (justafiably or not) with a book that they think it's okay to say that nobody else can read it. It's funny though because whenever a book gets banned somewhere, it's sales and popularity skyrockets. These people are trying to keep others from reading a book but get so upset on such a public scale that curiosity builds and the people they are 'protecting' want to see just why the book is being banned.
I think it's even funnier when these people haven't even read the book they are trying to ban, defending this lack by saying "I could never bring myself to read such filth!"

...But...

Okay then.

Then there's the argument that they are protecting children from the world and sheltering them. Well to an extent, that can be true. But if you are freaking out that highschoolers are reading The Pig Man because it has too many examples of "delinquent and antisocial behavior" in it or that a book mentions that suicide is a thing, it's getting excessive. Yes, letting 4 year olds read some of the books that are getting banned might not be the greatest idea but that's a lot different.

Over sheltering children won't make the world go away. It won't make racism disappear. It won't make people all stop committing suicide. What it will do however, it hit these children hard when they first experience these things. Its like over sanitizing everything your baby comes in contact with and keeping them away from all other humans until they are 6 then releasing them into the world where all the germs you blocked out and killed still lurk. They will catch every virus and fall prey to every bacteria they come in contact with.

Letting children read books that have racist characters or characters that swear or characters that act in a way that is not desired by these people won't make them be just like those characters. There's a huge difference between a book that condones racism and one that takes place in the old south. It is argued that Of Mice and Men does the former but in my opinion, it shows the pain that racism causes when Crooks' loneliness and isolation is described and the change that comes over him when Curley's wife preys upon him.

That's just my humble opinion.

But c'mon people. Burning Harry Potter for being satanic?

Anyways. That's my rant of the day. What do you all think about the subject of censorship?

So I was looking through my gallery (it's way to small. Gotta add more art) and took a gander at my older works. Looking at time stamps, it's been almost exactly one year since I posted one that at the time, I thought was  the greatest thing since toaster waffles. Now, armed with the knowledge I've collected throughout this year, I see that it's not nearly as good as I thought at the time. I've improved so much in such a short time and I didn't even realise. Looking back and comparing stuff I did this week vs my works from back then is a big confidence boost. Even if I think I suck now, I don't suck as much as I used to.  I've come a really long way in a short time. If I keep working at it, I'll keep improving and improving! Who knows where I'll be next year?
do you guys do the same thing? Look back and see how far you've come for a bit of an ego boost? It's a pretty decent way to combat low self esteem and artistic self hatred lol.
Now go and eat a toaster waffle! Or some sort of pastry. Just anything that tastes good.
peace!

So I recently went back to an older style I used to draw in and the results are fabulous. I don't mean to toot my horn or anything but I was pleasantly surprised with it. Apparently drawing in an anime-esque style I've learned a thing or two about anatomy.

I've been inspired visually by a beautious chicka called lilyfer. (If you haven't seen her, go look dat gurl up) and musically by Jack off Jill, Mindless Self Indulgence, System of a Down, and a touch of Marilyn Manson.

Hopefully gonna post stuff soon. Gotta finish things up and then they'll be here.

Stay beautiful! Eat a waffle!

Hey guys I need your help. I'm doing a project for an art class. It's going along the lines of people who are somehow disabled being considered 'sub human' or people thinking they're weaker than others and all that jazz.

Yeah that's just about the worst description of it ever. Sorry. I have the idea in my head but not the words.

Anyways I'm trying to represent brain damage. The focus of the picture is a person who represents the disabled and I wanted to have brain damage in there because it's something I can relate to and understand.

You guys have any ideas? I hope so because I'm struggling with them right now.

Thanks a million!
